SCHOLARSHIPS
The Florida District Exchange Clubs (FDXC) provide service throughout the great state of Florida; some for almost 100 years. The Youth Scholarships we provide fulfills one of our Programs of Service, to foster and recognize Young Floridians. Our scholarships reflect the values of the Exchange Club and highlight the gamut of activities experienced throughout the career of today's Florida High School students.
Our District Youth Scholarships are supported annually from donations to the W. James "Jim" Brown, Jr Scholarship Fund. If you would like to make a contribution to this scholarship fund, pleaseclick here.
YOUTH OF THE YEAR
Each year, the Florida District Exchange Clubs recognizes one female and one male Florida Student of the Year. The overall objective is identify and recognize students with remarkable careers. The Female Student of the Year and Male Student of the Year will each receive a scholarship of $2500 and be eligible for the National Youth of the Year which awards a scholarship of $15,000.
They typical Student of the Year candidate exemplifies the well-rounded student; he or she not only excels Academically, but also exhibits Leadership all while being involved in any number of Clubs, Athletics or the Arts in school and a steward of his or her community while off campus. In order to qualify for the Student of the Year, a Graduating High School Student must be referred by his or her local Exchange Club, complete an application, and attend the FDXC Conference in person.

AMERICANISM SPEECH CONTEST
The Americanism Speech Contest is a signature event of the Florida District Exchange Clubs. It combines two of our Programs of Service, Americanism and Youth Programs. Our objective is to recognize a high school student who can deliver a positive message on the topic of Americanism. The winner will receive a $3000 scholarship. In order to qualify, a student must be a high school Sophomore or higher, be sponsored by a local Exchange Club, and deliver the Speech on the Saturday morning of the District Convention. Typically, the local clubs will sponsor a Speech Contest for their area and will send that winner to District.

ACCEPTING THE CHALLENGE OF EXCELLENCE (A.C.E.)
The A.C.E. Award (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) is given to a student that has had to overcome great physical, emotional, or social obstacles and are now eligible for High School graduation. Past candidates have survived Cancer or Natural Disaster, have been homeless or have had a disability, or endured physical and psychological abuse. Each of our candidates exhibit a Never Quit attitude and a resiliency to overcome all obstacles before them. Our selection receives a $2500 scholarship and will be eligible to compete for the National Scholarship of $15,000.
